All,
I've been toying with an idea for the Cobra Council. Basically, a group of shadowy individuals that are unknown to even each other that makes up the ruling brain trust of Cobra. The Council chooses one to be the ruling figure head/ "Face" of the organization. Sound familiar? ;) I always envisioned that they would get together Quarterly to discuss business. And business would be in a big secured room with crimson guard and service staff. (Come on even an evil terrorist organization determined to rule the world will need a nice dinner). Any ideas on a round table with a cobra logo in the middle that would sit 12 cobra commander looking figures? Does something like this already exist? ...I'm inherently lazy. I figure the cobra council would be a great way to feature the different versions of CC we've seen over the years. Destro sits at the kiddy table. |

In the early issues of the comic, when everyone was investigating the attempt of CC's life from Billy, they had that kind of Cobra Council of the founders. In an updated and more modern version, I'd imagine it to resemble the meeting scene from Specter, but with a few less people and a little more lighting (maybe a big golden cobra fireplace or something like that).

If you don't mind wood tones, you could probably pay some hobbyist (on Etsy or wherever) to cut out sigil-shaped cutting board of your desired size and then laser burn the details into it. Add some table legs to the underside and call it a day.

I figure the cobra council would be a great way to feature the different versions of CC we've seen over the years. Destro sits at the kiddy table. The Sideshow figure bases have an annoying hole and protrusion, and looks a little small to seat 12 figures. Another option is find a larger circular black disc, and apply a large decal. My sister made this large Cobra sigil cut from Vinyl with a sticky back, using a Silhouette cutting machine https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/whats-...-can-make-one/ If you can't get the table going, I may try this whole setup out later in the year (but I'm really slow). I think all hooded commanders would look neater and more sinister with the right lighting, but I don't have 12 hooded. Counting hooded and helmeted, I can make quorum--but most of us are probably in that same sad boat. This would also be a good way to get rid of all the guilt of buying so many re-releases through the years... |

Ever since having a RoC/Retaliation CC, along with the Renegades and Resolute CCs, I've liked the idea of multiple CCs running Cobra.
Especially because used car salesman CC can be just as ridiculous without the ridiculousness of him running Cobra on his own. |
