When did the o-ring line exactly end for you? Do you consider 2002's new molds still part of the o-ring line despite their long legs, plastic rivets and short torsos?

Figures from the Joe vs. Cobra, Spytroops, Valor vs. Venom, Built To Rule, Direct To Comsumer lines are generally referred to as "new sculpt era" figures. They range from 2001 to 2006. Although they aren't usually included with the A Real American Hero figures; they still had o-rings.

I like to think of GI Joe's construction eras like so:
ARAH-style figures are Generation 1. New sculpt figures are Generation 2. 25th style and onward are Generation 3. |

Hard to separate gen 1 and new sculpt in my mind because there were so many gen 1 repaints released along the new sculpt. Also the new sculpt originally released as T-crotch.

As well as the Club's exclusives that went well into the 25th anniversary.

I'm almost exclusively into classic style o-ring joes, however I don't draw the line at any date. Regardless of when they were released, if they have classic scuplt and the guts of an O-ring then they have my preference.

Same here. I've recently parted with modern era figures as well as my remaining new sculpt (Spytroops/VvV) and have been buying up the O-ring joes from the ARAH line all the way up to convention exclusives that featured O-rings. I personally hope the classic sculpt makes a comeback in whichever form GI Joe takes in it's next release cycle.
