After reading Justin Bell's Novella "Welcome to Wolf Squad", I started to wonder just where this sub-team fits in to everyone's Joeverse. I am currently customizing and adding to Hasbro's offering to the above named sub-team, but I'm not sure what their purpose really is. I have a couple of thoughts about the Wolf Squad origins and the decision making behind the Gi Joe upper chain of command's use of this elite sub-team.
1. The Wolf Squad was assembled as an elite counter-terrorism group, specifically tasked with dealing with problems that require missions that are off the books. Each team member is briefed and informed that any missions conducted under the unit code-name "Wolf Squad", are not sanctioned missions and that team members will be disavowed if killed or captured. These are by no means suicide missions however, some of the tactics required in order to complete these missions do not necessarily align with Gi Joe's ethos. 2. The Wolf squad supercedes previous sub teams to include Night Force and Tiger Force. Members are sworn to absolute secrecy to include other non-members within the Gi Joe Ranks. 3. Wolf Squad is privately funded and is only associated with Gi Joe due to it's members Joe affiliation. Known members of the Wolf Squad are: Warrant Officer Dashiell Faireborn (Code Name: Flint) LT Jaye Burnett (Code Name: Lady Jaye) Sgt. Shana M O'Hara (Code Name: Scarlett) Capt. Brad J Armbruster (Code Name: Ace) Corporal Brent Scott (Code Name: Hit N' Run) Petty Officer First Class Gary Goggles (Code Name: Sightline) Petty Officer Second Class Phillip Provost (Code Name: Chuckles) Corporal Ronald W. Tadur (Code Name: Dusty) Gunnery Seargent Jodie Craig (Code Name: Shooter) Staff Seargent Cooper G McBride (Code Name: Lowlight) Chief Warrant Officer William Leialoha (Code Name: Torpedo) Lance Corporal Alvin R Kibbey ( Code Name: Breaker) Sergeant Blaine L Parker (Code Name: Mainframe) Petty Officer First Class Nicky Lee (Code Name: Tunnel Rat) Dosier's of each of the team's membership are maintained seperately from their Gi Joe membership files. Wolf Squad falls under the leadership of Agent 10, a covert operative withing the "Agency" that controls all aspects of Wolf Squad's mission sets, logistics, armament and insertion. It is rumored that Agent 10 is a former high ranking member of the COBRA organization, turned and employed specifically for their knowledge of several terrorist organizations around the world. Wolf Squad's successes are as unkown as their failures. Needless to say, if there is a mission that requires use of the Wolf Squad, global survival hangs in the balance. I have identified future members of the Wolf Squad but I'm not ready to share their identies just yet. I am planning a follow-up to Justin Bell's Novella giving a greater depth and insight into the Wolf Squad. As always, I welcome ideas from the membership inside this forum, and I WILL mention you by name in the acknowledgements of the Novella once completed. Ok..ideas...go!

Is that line up based on Justin Bell's work? Based on Hasbro, Falcon and Outback would be wolf squad, as well.
For me, Wolf Squad is Joe team's version of the Expendables. They are highly skilled and highly motivated, with their own safety and survival as an afterthought to their mission. |

I kept Falcon and Outback seperate for a reason...you'll have to read my Kindle Worls Novella to find out why.

Here is what I came up with on the fly:
Wolf Squad (GI Joes Dirty Dozen)
Flint – Helicopter Pilot, Green Beret, Linguist, OIC Recoil – Radio Operator, Long Range Recon, Intel, Explosive handling Dialtone – Radio Operator, Electronics Technician, JuryRigger (MacGyver type) Mercer – Intel, Explosives, Infantry Helix – Covert Ops, Sniper, Martial Arts Wetsuit – Covert Ops, Diver, Demolitions, Underwaterrepair/sabotage Shipwreck – Gunner’s mate, Machinist Mate, Boat Operator. Dog Fight – Rotary Wing Pilot, Electronics Expert, waskicked out of carnivals for perfect hand eye coordination – they thought he wascheating… You could build on that as the beginning of him getting thrown out oflots of places, but it’s always a ‘misunderstanding’ the way he tells it. Recondo – Jungle Warfighter, you know this dude has skeletons in the closet just by looking at him. Leatherneck – Top Kick, Hardest Marine on the beach for areason. Team Muscle Night Fox – Driver, Sniper, Covert Ops, Desert training Free Style – Fixed Wing Pilot, Intelligence Ops. loves to go fast, from the Dominican Republic –grew up in NYC. You know she can take care of her self in an urban environment.Daddy used to race around with her all the time in his Cab. She could have donesome racing at the race track in Long Island. “reckless and fearless flyingtechniques.” I would put her in a car more often than a jet. |

I tried to keep away from as many overworked joes as possible. Really how many deep cover operations can Chuckles do at one time?
Flint's skill set and proven track record to not having the tightest grip on morals was unavoidable. |

For cold ops I would use Windchill and Subzero.
Windchill has the same skill set as snow job (who is also a good choice - but to popular) Sub Zero is pure mean in the cold because he hates it - So seeing as a full time member could be interesting. I'd say all of the Renegades would be part of the squad. Flint is a definite, also Beachhead and Lowlight. Helix would also be a good addition.
