Since it is a fact that more and more toy manufacturers in the 1:18 wing have embraced the 4" format and even same mold form. Do you think the tendency will go on or there is a NEW ERA in the horizon for G. I. Joe?

Edit: I mean, it seems as there is an upcoming new iteration for the franchise, what do you think the format will be? Is the 4" format here to stay or do you think will be a return back to the roots?

It's not really clear what you mean by this, but I will take a stab at it.
First, I disagree with your claim that 'more and more' manufacturers are embracing 1:18. GI Joe, Marvel, and DC properties are seeing no new 1:18 products. The only 1:18 product we expect to see in the near future is Star Wars. What are ARE seeing is a shift in the market. We are getting new 1:18 figures from independent manufacturers who can direct-market to adult collectors. BFS and Marauder are making it an exciting time to be a 1:18 fan. But this is not the same as seeing Hasbro put new product in Wal Mart or Toys R Us. As for format for new GI Joe figures, I don't expect them to return to O-Ring construction. Any future iterations would probably keep the 4" format. The O-Ring Joes just don't compare to the 4" figures in terms of quality. |

If it was a typo, and he meant 6", than I agree that's the scale action figures are adopting for numerous reasons. I personally am not a fan of that scale, but it's apparently what the market wants. It could be short-lived though, just a couple of years ago, it seemed like a 1:18 scale renaissance and now look at it! Except for the kickstarter/non-mainstream stuff you cited, of course. |

I was posting from a cell and had a lot of problems so I kept the post short but my intention was to say that as you cited we see a lot of 1:18 kicstarters and all of them are taking the same mold construction than ME G.I. Joe. Being that the case this new iteration could be a totally new thing 6" or even 12" what are your bids for the new format.
