I can remember getting my first 3 figures for my birthday and having no idea who in the hell gi joe was. i was convinced at the time that duke's real name was gi joe until my mother set me straight. I played with those three guys for hours and hours. I decided to show my friend Trent my collection because i thought it was so cool, and that is when i saw his collection. He had all 13 original figures and some vehicles to go with them. Man was i jealous. Needless to say he and i both shared an affinity for the figures and i gladly offered to let him play with mine..............he never let me play with his though...
This is just one of the more memorable moments i had with this great toyline. I would love to hear some of you're memorable moments with gi joe. Post them here so everyone can read them. From time to time i will add more to this thread. May gi joe live on forever, in us and through our children, and their children.....YO JOE!!! |

Well i was looking at the USS Flag thread.....I still remember getting the 1985 Wish Book and almost pissing my pants with excitement. I begged and pleaded for it and thought for sure Santa was going have it under the tree.
Well on Christmas morning no Flagg but just about every other Joe item in the Wish Book was under the tree.....still don't have a Flagg one day, one day. |
