i guess i been in a cave for a while on collecting toys. does anyone know the return policy at toysrus? i brought back 2 figures to return. sorry no reciept. they said no returns or exchanges without a reciept. is it really that strict now? so its a no exceptions rule. can anyone confirm this? i just dont want to be screwed around with by someone who is making things up. if thats the rule for everyone. then im fine with that. thanks for any info. im sure my fellow collectors know the best.

Yep, that is the stores policy. It goes back to the days when scalpers would buy up items to sell and then return them when they couldn't move them.

Maybe it has something to do with all the repacking going on. The TRU stores around me have changed their policy due to repacking.

I think it's been their policy for a while to not accept returns with no reciept. It has nothing to do specifically with GI Joe.

babies r us is the same.
which makes it worse... itz not like i can f++++kin control my kid growing up... or people buying us girl clothes... or getting two damn cribs from baby shower etc... and no receipts... even worse is the gift receipt expiration... we had a baby... my gf had medical issues following... not really up to leaving the house to go return something... or if we got a late gift... OR EVEN WORSE... someone bought the gift months before we had a kid... not everyone waits til the last minute... but the gift receipt expires before we have the baby... etc etc etc. TRU and BRU have terrible exchange policies. they're anal about the receipt but not about the repackaged figures. dumbasses.

however, there are a couple walmarts in Orlando that are in more high crime areas, that you can only return things for cash if its under 5 dollars, other wise, they give you store credit and log your license against the times you can do it per year, so your best bet when a walmart is concerned is to honestly return in bulk.
