A while back (a way while back) in Tomart's magazine, there were rumblings of Joe figures in the Marvel legends line.
Now, since Hasbro bought the rights to all of the Marvel run, and they now produce the Marvel Legends figures, I would think, with the huge resurgence in Joe collecting, now wouold be the perfect time for a Legends wave. Even sideshow is getting in on the action. My proposed wave 1- Snake Eyes V2 (with commando variant) Cobra Commander (with hooded variant) Scarlett Storm Shadow Roadblock Baroness Duke Wave 2- Destro Flint Firefly Zartan Lady Jaye Beach-Head Crimson Gaurd What do you guys think? |

I'm not sure if I'd actually buy them or not, But I'd be interested in seeing what they produce. I mean they'd be one way or the other, amazing or just bad.

Sorry man I'm not feeling this one. I think Hasbro knows that any thing other than 3.75" or 12" and the fans would go nuts, not in the good way.

I think that Marvel legends should make C.O.P.S or other obsure hasbro lines.

Maybe Extreme? I'd buy a Lengends Iron KLAW. I like those assortments, but another trooper should be in the first wave. Maybe a Viper. Whoah, LEGENDS V1 BAT!

In the last video-cast with the Marvel Legends designers (Nov '07 IIRC), they teased that we might see 3 3/4" Marvel legends figures this year. Personally, I think Joe-scale Marvel figures are MUCH preferrable to larger ML-scale Joe figures. With the cost of plastic, fuel, shelf-space, etc, I think the trend will be smaller figures.
Can you imagine a 3.75" 25th style Spider-Man or X-Men? That would be AWESOME. Last edited by nacho; 02-06-2008 at 05:40 PM.. |

But I would rather Hasbro worry about the 25th line for now. Let Sideshow do the crazy detailed larger figures. |

Can you imagine a 3.75" 25th style Spider-Man or X-Men? That would be AWESOME. Toybiz did release the Superhero Showdown figures which [should've] featured highly detailed, highly articulated figures in a 1:18 scale. Now the final products got a little sloppy, but the intent was there. Personally, the Legends line is no longer worth it. If they wanted to make another attempt at the 1:18 scale Marvel Characters, I'd be willing to support it so long as it was properly done. Still, though they were both printed under the Marvel banner, the Joe and Marvel Universe will also be two different beasts for me. I have no desire to see 8" Joes packaged on the Marvel Legends cards. Besides those would just be more molds Hasbro would have to create which would take away from the effort dedicated to the 25th line. |
