I have no problem with buying figs online. I'll agree with all of the points made for, and against. I use BBTS as a backup plan to get the ones I can't find at retail. I tend to get impatient at times when I want something. I'm starting to get better with that aspect though. I too love the thrill of the hunt. Yo Joe!!!

i pretty much converted from toy hunting every day to order them online. why? coz my work requires more of my arse than driving myself around looking at empty shelves.
around my area, there are stores that have alloted pegs for the 25th line, but it seems they never got any of them when this line started last year. even the boxsets, none at all.
not to mention, the release of new waves don't happen a lot. these retail stores don't even order them. so does distribution around here, it sucks!!! why on earth would they only order 1 or 2 cases of joes?!?! why!?!?
and it even gets worse. some stores don't carry the 25th anymore. like wow.
so instead of driving around with $15 gas round trip, hitting more than 8 retail stores only to find none, i just order them online. it helps my case. even if those online stores mark it up by $4 extra on the figs, that's okay for me. coz you'll pay a $3+ per gal of gas for every figure. hopefully, your store will carry it, but if not? you're coming along empty handed.

The fun of the hunt
Near 'bout all online sites charge more than target or wal-mart.

I've delt with Smalljoes before. I've ordered a few carded Figures from them, and for the most part they were great. One of the Serpentor's I ordered had a slightly damaged box, but meh. That can happen in a store as well. (Despite this, Smalljoes comes recommended from me.)

I live pretty close to my Walmarts and Targets so I'd be crazy to spend extra cash on figures online, but if you want it bad enough....

I have so many retail stores in my area that finding figures so far has not been too difficult. I don't actually drive the city hunting for figures. Instead, I hit random Wal-Marts and Targets througout the week while heading to work or simply going for other items.
Sure, I have to be patient and not freak out when everyone and their brother has already found the latest waves, but, 99.9% of the time I will find them at retail without expending a lot of effort. It has taken time, but so far I have seen every figure at retail.

Thrill of the Hunt
Plus I have a Wal-Mart and Target less than a mile from where I live. A Wal-Mart and Target that's right off the highway on my route to work and a Target that's 5 mins from work.
Now, if I didn't have those options, I'd probably have bought more online than the 3 figures from Wave 4 I got from HTS

I don't mind the thrill of the hunt. I love to turn the corner in the toy isle and see all the new figures hanging there. It gets exciting wondering if they have the one you need. The only problem with that is about 1 out of every 10 times i check the toy isles do they have anything. I have found most of my collection hanging on the racks, mainly because target is getting them in fast, faster than wal mart it seems. TRU has not had one 25th figure and k mart only has 5 packs. I did have to order 6 figures online and it costs me about 100 dollars with shipping, most of wave 1, zartan, and the cobra trooper. I would rather find them in retail, but if i can't i have no problem ordering them...

That being said, it's rare for me to wait for something to show up with one of the e-tailers. I trust BBTS the most and they'll be getting the bulk of my online business, but they still don't have the immediacy that a WM or Target has.
