Here are my pictures of my 2 figures which are 100% real there is a difference. As a collector I would never by these. If you buy then as nice looking cheap replacements that's fine but the sellers should not sell then as original figures that is a scam.If the seller notes them as replacements then fine.but don't call them original. It would be the same as buying boot leg movies its a scam and not original.

Thanks for posting a link to the previous thread, amazing how common this is. I've been finding out more and more as time passes about these things. I did a search in the forums looking for anything related before I had originally posted, but I didn't see this one. Obviously this isn't news to you because you have been aware for some time. However, I wasn't "in the know" and I thought I would share my experience and ask a knowledgeable community about a problem I encountered. Why would anyone care? Really? .... This is such an irrelevant and idiotic comment. The answer is not only rhetorical, but is obviously steeped in personal opinion as well. Some people choose to converse, help others, and share their thoughts and comments in an insightful way, (whether their comments are positive or negative). Others choose to reflect with empathy on an issue they can potentially relate to. For me, the whole "ripped off" situation was really frustrating, and a lot of other people understand that. But, to answer your derisive response, I don't expect you to care. But, others do and choose to share their knowledge. I appreciate you sharing the old thread with me, but honestly if you truly don't care, why are you bothering to troll up this thread with scornful remarks? If you don't care, choose to exercise that opinion by reading something worthy of your attention, but go be an ass somewhere else. -Zartan- |

Nice! Thanks for the pictures, when side by side it's so obvious right? I agree, it is a scam. I would have never purchased them had I known they were fakes. Unfortunate that I only found out about this after the fact. A classic, "look before you leap" case. Pffff, ultimately a pricey learning experience. Thanks again for the pictures! -Zartan- |

Thank you all for this thread. I collect only 82-85 army builders. I found this very helpful.

I was reading this thread(I'm new here by the way so HI!!) and I looked at my viper pilot that I'm 100% sure is real because I've had it since I got it as a kid. The Cobra emblem is missprinted (factory error) and its not mint. It does have correctly placed rivets but they are silver they are rounded but not as rounded as my other joes from that error. Anyone know anything about this?
