Any veteran conventioners want to share any tried and true formulas to make the most of Joecon? What about traditions, etc. that help make the experience more fun? Waht other activities, gatherings, etc. take place?

Download an overview of the convention center and area, map out a rest area, all restrooms, and if your with a group the. Set up a meet spot. Also, park close so that you can unload quickly. And last but not least have a list I high to lows and priority items. Hope this helps. - jay

If you do a forum search for Con related topics, there is an abundance of answers for whatever possible questions you may have. I know I've already answered a ton, as have many others.

Thanks for the input everyone. I am compiling a list of things to add myself from my experiences as a former attendee of sci-fi related cons as well as my limited botcon/joecon jaunts.

And most important........bring your patience.....you will need it. Some of the Cons I have been to forced us to plan. When 100k show up (star wars cons) you need a plan. The first SW con was tough. We parked a mile away and we had to walk that 4 times in one day. The second day we parked in the garage across the street. That was so much better. The second con was planned to the T and remember to have a back up plan if the first one fails....which ours did.
