Hi All,
Now that Star Wars is getting the Micro Machine treatment from Hasbro. Do you think they might do the same with GI Joe ? Would you support a GI Joe Micro Machines line or do you think it might be better for them to concentrate on standard GI Joe action figures or even KREO than to try something new ? After seeing the new Star Wars Micro Machine toys, I personally think it would be nice to get the vehicles for GI Joe and Cobra, and I can definitely see a USS Flagg Mini Playset. Thoughts ? |

if they were actual ARAH and other true GI Joe vehicles and not just generic military sets labeled GI Joe, then yes I would fully support it...

I'd rather have the generic military vehicles like those done by Micro Machines in the 90's. Who remembers the M198 howitzer? I was impressed by the realism of the models. It may be because I was in an artillery unit from 90 - 94. The WW2 tanks were boss as well. I still have a couple packs unopened. Man, the late 80's early 90's were a lot of fun when the toys were making a comeback.

There were several Micro-machine GI Joe sets back several years ago, many were repaints of current military vehicles, there was a large GI Joe battlebase I owned, it was a multi-level command base, there were no actual GI Joe or Cobra vehicles from the 80's toyline, but there were several sets, I owned a lot of them at that time.

Micro Machines would be cool for a Skystriker (or any aircraft) diorama using a 1:18 aircraft and micro machines on the ground.
I would have the Night Raven fly over a Mauler patrol, say about 30-50 Maulers on the ground. The contrast in scales would be very "realistic" Look mom those look like toy cars and the people look like ants! Personally though I would rather have Hot Wheels/Dynaflite scale vehicles. You lose a little detail in the Micro Machines scale.

It would be cool to use micro machines to make that scene from MASS DEVICE when Stalker had the fake army behind him. That would make an awesome Diorama.
