Okay, as some of you may know, I have a Baroness costume that I love:
NYCC '09 I based this costume mostly on the toyline (v1/v9) Baroness and this pic: Anyway, to make it more fitting with the toyline, it could use a better belt and some sort of chestplate that doesn't make me look like Darth Vader (that's a completely different outfit...), plus I need to perfect a way to tint my hair black for the day (I love The Baroness but I am never dying my hair black again, not even for her) ... but it is a generally good starting point. Now, we've decided that we're definitely attending JoeCon this year. Of course I am going to perfect and wear my outfit. But I don't want to wear it everyday. Okay, that's not true. I want to wear it all the time. I want to wear it to the grocery store. I want to wear it to work and to bed (well, I sort of have, hahaha), and to Wal-Mart. What I mean is that I don't want to be redundant and wear the same Baroness outfit 4 days in a row. So I've decided that I need to do a couple different versions of The Baroness. I could do a Resolute outfit. So that's 2 versions. I was also semi-considering a 110% totally over-the-top version, a more clothed version of this: I would think a skirt or shorts of some sort instead of those weird panties. But, I don't know how an outfit like that would........work. JoeCon is a family event, right?! But more importantly, would I still be a good Baroness in a "creative" get-up or would I just look like a random Cobra-Chick? Anyway ... anyone have any advice in regards to the other 2 or so Baroness outfits I should put together? I'm looking for references from canon - comics, cartoon, toys, etc. Oh, and I only want to wear black. I realize this limits my versions of The Baroness, but such is life. you could maybe try.....................
crap i drooled all over the keyboard :p lets try this again :p ok seriously though what about a formal baroness outfit. i havnt read the comics in a long time but i seem to recal once or twice she showed up undercover to a formal event. like a black single piece dress with the cobra symbol on it. some of the other real experts can probobly elaborate on this.

Gents...I'm asking this now...please keep this civil.
As for advice..I'd go with the more clothed (lol) Resolute Style. No offense to the original look, but it's been done to death. A Resolute style Baroness would be very hip! |
