Everyone is familiar with the Gung-Ho Marine Dress figure. How about doing all the Branches of the Military represented by GI Joe figures. I'm ripping off this idea from a poster in another forum but I liked it so much I'm posting it here hoping it gets some traction.
Suggestions include: Torpedo in Navy Dress Uniform, Cutter in Coast Guard Dress Uniform, Ace in Air Force Dress Uniform Scarlett in Army Dress Uniform. My contribution is with a little tooling.... adding the Jugglers as well. J |

It's a cool idea that's been suggested before, so no doubt fans would love it. The only real snag is that it would probably require too much new tooling that would cost way too much.

Yep.
There are polls or questions in other threads if we would buy "military-themed" figures that were not Joe (I guess like the Kickstarter projects - which I was not interested in). Well, I would buy any realistic class-A uniformed figures, even if not Joe, but especially (army-building) IF Joe. Ironic that Hasbro almost killed Marine-dress Gung Ho a bunch of times. |

I posted that idea somewhere, though I'm probably not the only one, so you could be ripping off someone else. I suggested those characters because I believe those were the first Joe members from each branch. I would probably include a male O13 figures as well, like Hawk or maybe Grunt, whoever, just so there was a male body with the Army dress uniform. With head swaps you could have any Joe in their dress uniform.

Hasbro could just make one character and we could just do head swaps. So they would only have to tool one male and one female, then just do repaints and issue them with one head and the collectors would do head swaps. Simple.
Look at the BFS VH line, it's one male and female body for a lot of different characters. Then you have the Gorgons of course. |

The day I get a Gen. Hawk in Class A uniform, will be the day I consider my collection complete.
But that day will never come, so I'll have to wait and see if we ever get that concept vault Gung Ho. Then my collection will be acceptable.
