i preorder all of my figures, i preordered 20 troopers from bbts @9.99 a pop. I dont really mind it. I have basically no reason to hunt around in NYC and Long island because there is never anything there anyway. If i do come across a figure on the pegs i will buy it as a bonus and usually keep my preorder. My lincoln eats gas so its kind of pointless to go driving all over. Its also a hassle cause target is full of annoying trash and cell phone using employees. Man i hate target.

I have bought some online to save me the hassle of driving around and the cost of gas. That being said, I still have been driving around too much to make it work out. I've had to buy a least an extra tank of gas each month in the past few months because of my searches. That's $40 (and probably more) a month that, for my needs, makes up for the extra cost per figure and the shipping. Plus, I feel better for burning less fuel. All this driving around is something I plan to put a stop to (I sincerely hope, at least).
online purchase = less fuel consumption = less time in walmart = more time home with my family Now, all that being said, I know what will happen as soon a wave 6 shows up retail: I'll get impatient and start driving around anyway! (I'm so weak.)

I'm in the same position as you. Its been nice not having to go to walmart everyday and be disappointed.
Get tired of seeing the same greeter day in and day out..heh Quote:

Some Star Wars fig's I have paid over 10 bucks for, beause I never saw the fig's in the stores. With the 25th Joe's I first preordered Snake-Eyes & Storm Shadow from BBTS, since then I have been able to find everything except wave 4 at retail.

I spent on average about $15ea for my army of troopers. Why? I wanted them, the boxset was the only way to get them... so I did. Simple as that!

i'm willing to pay whatever the strong secondary market value is.
strong meaning it's been at that value for a long time. ie. gold destro, yellow stalker, roddy piper i won't pay ex. 29.99 or 19.99 for a figure that just came out just because i want it right away. |

I guess some people think they're saving money if they can't see the whole bill in front of their faces at once.
You also have to think that Target sells their Joes for $6. So an extra $3 to not waste gas and time isn't really that big a deal. Quote:

I don't mind one bit paying an extra few dollars to have the figure delivered to my front door. Walmarts in my area are awful and theres only 3 Targets near me and they get wiped out early. Not to mention I'm in the Midwest and we are the last to get everything.
