Welcome to the Tank. What a horrible thing to have happen.
I remember about 7 years ago, I had a bunch of video games, systems and Magic cards stolen. Like about, $7,000 worth of stuff. They walked right into my house, used my bags, packed up and walked right out. I had run to the store and was gone maybe 30 minutes, and I never locked my door, because I lived in a really great neighborhood. My neighbors saw them walk in and thoought they were friends of mine, so they didnt think anything of it. Make a long story short, I was lucky. I ended up catching the guy 2 days later trying to sell the stuff to me at my own shop. I made like I needed to borrow money from the store owner next door to pay for it, and called the cops. They came down and arrested him. He ended up getting probation, and got caught stealing again 3 days later. Now he's serving 14 years in prison. Stupid People!!!! Serves that ahole right!

To the contrary, there is nothing wrong with that at all...but to gain that at the expense of others is wrong. besides, if you don't do things for yourself no one else will. my point of contention was that to attain that happiness/goal at the expense and pain of others is dead wrong.

So true and so sad. I personally can't stand the thought of stealing and believe that those who perpetrate such crimes are scum. I'm quite proud of the fact that everything i own in my collection is bought and paid for. Someone who steals something simply has no right to own it.
Sorry to hear about your loss bro and welcome to the tank! |

Man, I don't even know what to say, that's totally FUBAR. If its any consolation, my mom threw out my entire collection when I turned 11 years old, she said I didn't need them anymore. I started collecting about three years ago and I have managed to amass a respectable collection, though at considerable expense. Good luck and don't lose heart.

I've had the "pleasure" of having a car stolen from me and a motorcycle a few years later. What a feeling to have these things you have worked so hard for taken by someone. I learned a lesson from the car incident (and the way police respond/handle these things). I've since bought a tracking device that has already paid for itself. I wired it to my motorcycle and lo-and-behold it was stolen 2 days later. I have a alarm on it with ignition kill but they got it.. but didn't count on my tracking device.. and I notified police that it was stolen but knew the location... long story short they found it along with 10(!) other vehicles stolen from the area just in the last few days. Busted the whole lot. What a feeling to get back my property and to throw a wrench in what looked like to be one hell of an operation. They can be rented, or bought of course and I'm constantly impressed with it. A friend even bought one.. but he used it to see what his wife was up to. She's cheating and she's threatened him with a nasty divorce saying he's cheating.. well since now he nows she is he's having a PI follow her and taking photo's of her infidelity! Gotta love technology sometimes. Sorry for your loss and I personally know it leaves quite a scar for trusting anyone.
