Not sure if you were aware or not, but there was a big sale at MasterCollector last month with great discounts (even better if you were a member)
I ordered two complete MIB Moth sets for $60 each (reg $100) and three 2006 Slaughter's Renegades 3 packs for $20 each (reg $60ish?) Got the package today and it was shortpacked the Renegades. Apparently they ran out due to a "glitch" in their inventory system. I received no phone call, no email ZERO communication that there was a problem. Just a hand writtten note on my invoice that I would be credited the amount due. I called to question the order. I mentioned the fact that they DO in fact still have some in stock. The only difference is that they are signed but I am not sure by who (Sgt Slaughter perhaps). I asked them why they could not substitute and she said because of the price differnce. (They were $10 more when they were on sale $30 instead of $20). So I told the CS that if they were not willing to substitute, then I really was not interested in the order. Getting everything together was the real reason why I ordered them and I would not have just ordered the MOTH sets. She basically said that she was "doing everything she could by issuing me the due credit" She was not eveb planning on refunding the shipping difference until I mentioned that as well. When I asked if I could return the order because I was disattisifed, she said that I would STILL be subject to the 25% restocking few. HUH? I am unhappy because I did not get what I ordered. And because I am unhappy, I am subject to being penalized? WTH? If this is how they treat MEMEBERS-non members look out. I have never had issues with them and have ALWAYS defended their customer service but they have failed me. Should I feel slighted? |

I think you should settle down. Mistakes happen. They refunded you the difference, which is all they could do. The only other thing they could do is offer to give you a signed copy, but charge you the difference. I mean, you ordered 2 MOTH sets and 3 Renegade sets... was getting one less renegade set REALLY worth your anger?
Yes, they probably should have called or emailed you, but chances are they didn't notice until they packed your stuff up. |

i can't say my run in with them was as bad as yours but there seems to
be some issues over there... i hadn't received my night viper/outback set and finally called like three weeks later saying that they hadn't arrived and that i hadn't received any information regarding their shipping. at all. nothing. they told me that they had sent an email out to everyone explaining that they were behind... apparently they were behind on sending out the emails pertaining to being behind on shipments because I never received an email. the VERY least you can do if people have to pay to be a member is to keep them updated on their orders. sorry to hear about what happened to you.

MC is a terrible service. I used to order all the time from them but when I started a lower paying job I couldnt afford their overpriced shipping and they did screw up a few orders. When Cybertron Defense Red Alert came out, they had him first so I ordered him. When the box came, it was the deluxe class Red Alert. I had to pay the shipping charge to send hm back and by the time I got CD Red Alert, I had seen him in stores several times
I dont even bother with their store anymore |

Correction-I ordered THREE and got NONE and they were not willing to substitute. So in essense I only got 2/5 of my order and I am expected to be ok with that according to them Sorry if I want clearer |

I also never got an email re: the status with the tracking number. I knew they were a few days behind but I am not even home right now, so it didn't matter WHEN I got them. I agree though that it seems like they just expect it to all be acceptable.

man i would love to have all 4 moth sets for only 60 bucks thats a steal, you should be happy about that. i really want the ice viper, snow serpy set and the night viper, frag viper set. just never felt like dishing out the 40 bucks a set on ebay. rather would have other stuff. but i feel your pain man, its never fun when someone mess's up your order and then cant fix your problem. good luck to you.

i almost got hit on that 25% stocking fee, but the chick let me go cus i never had a problem or returned anything before. that sucks man seriously.. shaft can ya dig it?

You have every right to be pissed. You were shorted due to their mistake and then they want to charge you for returning it because you are unhappy at their mistake.
I have never liked MC and this is one of the reason's why.
