Hama DOES sometimes include stuff from other continuities that he didn't create, right, like Pale Peony?

Hama wrote the Storm Shadow series 1 through 7 and created Pale Peony and Demon Granny.

I really liked DDP stuff. Even more of the '92-'94 Marvel serie!
Kamakura is a great character from the cool "Master & apprentice" mini series.

I don't have a comic book store super close to me, and I was wondering if anyone could post a picture of Collins as Throwdown here? Assuming he's appeared in the comic in his Throwdown costume already, that is.

There is a preview of issue 212 that some assume is his hand holding the F and S dagger. The dagger given to him by Snake Eyes in issue 209. I feel that moment is a literal passing of the torch. SPOILERS: IDW March 2015 G. I. Joe Solicitations - GI Joe News

You guys that are saying the IDW is to hard to follow...you read it in release order....of course somethings happen before or after but if you start with Origins 1-6 follow it with G.I.Joe Volume 1 1-6 and Cobra 1-6...you're doing it right. heres a summery of the reading order.
G.I. Joe (IDW Publishing) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The Latest Series "The Fall Of G.I.Joe" is only on it's fourth issue so any comic shop worth it's salt should have back issues. Kamakuras name was given an explanation in the Master and Apprentice comics The Kamakura period (The Golden age of the Ninja) and I liked that Sean would follow in SE's footsteps. I don't know if things were different I would the same way about Sean being Kamakura when I knew him for years as Takedown I'm Currently reading through the DDP Stuff and the biggest problem it had was it's every Graphic Novel in practice everything wrapped up in six issues or less then move on to the next big thing. but it's still solid writing and Josh Baylock and Tim Steely and Mark Powers join Hama,Costa, and Van Lente as some of my favorite Joe writers.

DDP had some good stuff, and Master & Apprentice was definitely at the top. However, I just don't see Hama rehashing these stories. It will be interesting to see where he takes Sean Collins (and the rest of his family, all of whom are still alive I'm assuming)...

Parts of the non ARAH stuff were good. I liked Phoenix Guard storyline and General Rey. The Cobra Island battle was dumb.
I am enjoying the current ARAH stuff but sometimes it feels like a tribute book to the old adventures. I'm not crazy about all the new characters Hama focuses on like pale Peony and the Blue ninjas, but it was great to see Muskrat and Long Range in a story that was pretty strong, if not perfect, and nicely reminiscent of the good old Special Missions days. I do think one and two issue missions are a good way to highlight Joes who don't get shown a lot. I think an interesting challenge would be for him to have a story featuring only Joes who have never or rarely made it to the ARAH comic. Say Pathfinder, Bullhorn, Spearhead, Stretcher, and Blowtorch go on a mission. Or maybe send Sky Patrol on an op. |

Exactly my point. That's what I've been trying to point out to Larry. I want to see Pathfinder appear sometime, even if its just for one to three issues. Like with Blizzard in 167 to 169(or so). I've asked him a couple times on this but with answers like "I don't remember writing his filecard" or "his character was one I haven't warmed up to" I think he's dodging the question. Plus his answers seem so illogical since many other nineties characters have made appearances. Ambush, Salvo, Rampart, Metal-Head, the Night Creepers, and Topside to name a few.
