Add Slipstream.
slipstream is long past due, along with a few others (Yes, Jedi, I am joining team Slipstream!). I was pushing GI Jane, and no one else was jumping on the bandwagon, so it must not be her time just yet. I pushed Zandar and Darklon to vote 13 and let it go from there. That is my new nomination strategy. Get nominations to 13 and if they are picked up by others, then it is time to get them in. there are a few others that really need to get there that are on the nomination list: Voltar, Psyche Out, Metal Head, Heavy Metal, Frostbite, SAW Viper, Hard Master....they are all sitting at the bottom. For some reason, Slipstream seems like he should be the first of my "projects" to start a potential surge (once characters get past 13 or so votes, it seems like they really seem to get noticed). Jedi, I am curious as to your reasoning behind Shadow Tracker. Yes, he is a cool looking character. But with virtually no media to promote him, how is he a character that should place this high? Yes, he is cool, but in the scheme of the mythos, if you weren't collecting that year, you wouldn't know who he was (even if you were collecting, he was darn hard to find). Gonna wait to vote, to see how this one plays out. would still like to see Raptor win this one. But if he ends up being a low vote getter, there isn't a point in voting for him. |

I'm doing the same thing you are, but I'm trying to get about 10 characters on the nomination list with 3 votes each. People seem to forget about some of them until they're on the list. So far I've helped Metal-Head and Slip-stream catch some fire. I'm moving on to Gnawgahyde next. Then considering Big Lob, Zanzibar, Scoop, Budo, Slice, Dice, Claymore, Sneak Peek, Specialist Trakker, Rowdy Roddy Piper and Gamesmaster. I think there are about 15 on the list that most of these could beat in the poll.
As for Shadow Tracker, isn't he the best new named Cobra since Slice and Dice in 1992? Heavy Duty's doing worse than I thought. Looks like the stink associated with him for replacing Roadblock in the 2000s through ROC is weighing on him. I liked him in 1991 but he really wore out his welcome due to that and I won't be voting for him any time soon. Last edited by JediJones; 09-20-2014 at 09:26 PM.. |

My top 10 not on the poll are:
Snow Serp, Cobra Officer, Hard Master, Dodger, Televiper, Starduster, Iron Grenadier, Keel Haul, Tollbooth, and G.I. Jane. My top 10 who I would agitate for more nominations are: Sneak Peek, Red Star, Budo, Sparks, Wild Card, IG Sgt. Major, Red Shadows Black Major, Munita, Ghostrider, and Adele Burkhart. |
