Hasbro has tried different team ideas over the years example:
Adventure team a small team of guys going on adventures. A real American hero/action force in the 80's Gi joe was made up of large army where units would take on different mission to stop cobra. Six sigma small team taking on cobra. Resolute large joe team taking on cobra. Rise of cobra large army to take on cobra, a small squad to go on missions. Renegades small team to take on cobra. Retaliation small team to take on cobra What do you prefer? Large army or small? |

I see the ARAH and ROC teams as the same thing, just separated by 25 years. But that's the sort of team that I prefer. A large, SHIELD type of team, that puts out Mission Impossible styles of teams to deal with special situations.

ARAH is still my favorite, but the Renegades style always was a better play pattern for me as a kid, even though it was still decades before that show came on. I always focused on small teams, usually with Falcon or Flint in charge, taking on focused targets. Even after getting the Terrordrome, it was usually small team infiltration missions as opposed to all-out war.

Ah preferred two rather large groups one that attacks and one to defend. The commandos adapt the situation lead by snake eyes ,the officers control the vehicle attacks cobra is very large orginization however if I were to support a group it would be ninja faction using magic smoke n mirror attacks

Count me in the ARAH camp. My entire collection is specifically 80's Cobra.

I like the Battle Force 2000 team that doesn't take itself too seriously and knows how to party and have a rocking good time.
