Something like this-
1997 there was the tru exclusives 15th year anniversary 2000 Real American Hero got some repaints released as part of the continued line. And that kinda continued for a couple of years. 2002 a New release of Joe Vs Cobra, figures started out with no orings, they actually kinda sucked real bad. 2003 the line switched over to Spytroops, they're ok, not great but had some cool accessories. 2004 it switched to Valor vs Venom, they started to get good at the end of the line. I think they killed it completely in 2005 in place of Sigma 6. Then with some backlash from the collector community, they decided to offer new joe product in the form of online only, DTC, but that didn't last long as they started to show up at toys r us along with the sigma 6 stuff. 2007 saw the release of 25th anniversary, which is where we stand now.

Oh yeah, and combat heroes are relativily new to the joe line, thats something Hasbro was successful with in the star wars and transformers lines, and decided to do joes in the same format, they're cool I suppose, but I prefer the Transformers ones. Alot of places are clearancing them out, because I don't think they sold to well.
