I talk about GI Joe a lot, y'know with people outside.
But it only comes up because I usually carry a figure in my pocket in case I get bored.

I talk about it at work, and I have cobra symbols all over the place. I read the original marvel run plus the idw ARAH series, and then I go back and re-read them.

I keep my slaughters marauders set in my pocket most of the time, and talk about joe to people. My bicycle also has a cobra logo on the sides and my jacket's right hand arm has a cobra logo sown on, along with my gloves.
I've also worn my CC mask before around places, with people giving the usual WTF look. One time I got questioned by the cops for wearing it because businesses were afraid of it. Last edited by CrackerJacks; 05-02-2014 at 11:45 AM.. |

By frequenting the 'Tank!
All joking aside, that does play a part, but I periodically re-watch episodes of the Sunbow cartoon with my kids and I have certain G.I. Joe pieces on display in my toy room that serve as a constant reminder of my affinity for this franchise. So yeah, Joe's a part of me...alive and well.

By explaining things to people I work with or friends and follow it up with "And now you know" Some of them get it and finish the saying, while others have to be reminded or told. Plus i have the Arashikage Clan tattoo on my arm. Plan to get the cobra symbol tattooed next on my shoulder. I have a complete 80's theme sleeve planned.

All the guys I work with know my love for it. Between the desktop on my computer and my Cobra sigil tattoo. I also come here 10 times a day to read articles and comment. Plus I buy as much as possible when I find it in stores. And wear my Joe tee shirts often.

I created my own Facebook group and welcome veteran collectors aswell as new guys. We talk about off the wall stuff and really concentrate on a lot of the foreign stuff. We also do contest and giveaways. We also have group tshirts. I get stopped often being asked about the Tshirt and the group and I explain why gi joe is the pinnacle of 80's toys and we must keep the love for it going. My family thinks I am a bit crazy but they also tell you the names of every gi joe and cobra member so I guess I'm doing my part.

I have a Cobra tattoo on my left upper arm and an Arashikage tattoo on my right forearm. And buy mostly everything the Club and Hasbro make. And display all my vintage and modern Joe toys. I also come here frequently through the day to read news and check Tankers customs.
