I have mixed feelings about it.
I've collected all the 25th and most of the Modern carded action figures packaged because I like the retro style. BroJob changing the packaging to the (in my opinion, inferior 3-steps-back) movie style packaging saves me from getting stuff to keep carded. I plan to get all three of the Wal-Mart 2-packs (if I ever see them!) and open them. BroJob could have ensnared me if they'd incorporated the movie line into the regular line like they did with Resolute, having the characters on the classic style cards with classic style paintings of the movie characters and the Joe movie logo in the corner, leaving the regular GIJOE red, white and blue logo at least on the American cards. As it is, I'll pick up some movie toys to open. I'm definitely in for the Baroness and TRU Firefly (to use as different characters), the Steel Crusher, the Night Raven, the Mole Pod and perhaps the Gunship, and maybe the MARS Troopers and Ice-Viper. So BroJob will still get my money, just not as much. |

Yah, it does suck for you MOC guys, but nobody ever said MOC collecting was easy. LOL. It is perhaps the most thankless and infuriating hobby ever invented... to buy a perfect toy... perfectly encased in perfect packaging... like an immortal vampire remaing forever young and beautiful. LOL.
I think yhose guys who collect Star Wars MOC have it worse though, they change packaging every several months and repaint and repackage ten times worse than with Joes I think. LOL. I just want more Resolute figs; I don't care what packaging they come in. Now that my dream of getting a decent wave 14 Falcon is gone (still has horrible headsculpt), all I really want now is a Resolute Scarlett and Snake Eyes. |

I'm staying away from the movie figs, but I want almost all of the vehicles. I want Monkeywrench, however, I am willing to wait to see him repackaged in the 25th style. With all the repackages and repaints, I'm sure hasbro'll have more than one version of him out there.

It doesn't bother me... only because I'm not buying the Resolute stuff... maybe 1 or 2 vehicles... but that's about it.

Am I the only one that gets bothered by Hasbro re-packing classic/25th style figures with the ROC movie toys?
I'm sure loose collectors don't mind the packaging as long they get the figure they want but I'm a MOC collector. Why would I want Monkeywrench on a ROC card? I'm pretty sure he's not in the movie and if he is, he's not going to be wearing his classic outfit. In my opinion, movie packaging should be for movie figures. Anyone with me on this one? But yes I am irritated..... I like the card art on the carded figures regardless that and the more interesting file cards. |

Straight repacks would irritate me, but total repaints and new figs will be great for me. I will buy 1 of everything anyway so bring them on!
