Even with the gold, that particular Serpentor was slightly underwhelming. Though between the three, one can make a decent figure.
Who knows what happened with Dusty, the single paint blotches had to be cheaper to run through the process than the two tone stripes. Maybe they were hoping to release a second version later on before everything got swept aside for the movie. And what was going on with the hip swivel he and he alone received? Someone should ask that at the Convention. |

Yeah, the scale is probably easier to sculpt details. But like I said, the paint apps are just a money saving thing. And like I already mentioned, most of us on here would not be willing to pay another $2-3 a figure for more refined paint decos on our Hasbro figures anyways.

I think somebody asked about the waist articulation and the reason for it in a Q&A last year (they asked if this was a feature that would be added to all figures eventually) but I don't recall Hasbro's exact answer (although I know they said "No" to that).

The "prototype" figures could be released as a HoH series. I know it'd mean buying them all over again, but at least it would give us the look we want out of the figures.

That's what they should have done for the HoH series. Done some really special figures. I suggested doing a series of high detailed "McFarlane" like figures. Yeah, non posable, but they would be damn cool to display
