I'm a laser specialist. I am currently working for a company that is trying to develop a laser based aerial defense system. It is actually not as cool as it sounds...yet.
I have two kids in diapers, wife works full time, and I just bought my first house about 6 months ago. So, my budget has been chopped down to <$50 a month. That has to be spread between Joes, Halo guys, DVD's, and going to the movies. Gets tight sometimes. |

By day I am a mild mannered Logistics Manager at a computer and software company. ( Logistics is a fancy word for materials flow ) By night I run my tattoo bit-nitz so I do pretty good plus my wife has a really good job. I pretty much buy what I want, but we have been dumping alot on money into the house.

Well, I use to work at Dell in the business to business division for years but I got tired of that place and went to work for UPS part time and became a stay at home dad fulltime. My wife is an RN so she makes the money for the most part. I was diagnosed with degenerative disk disease about 8 months ago so, for now, I'm just a stay at home dad till my 2 little ones are in school.
My budget changes every week. Some weeks I can spend $100 and some weeks I can't spend anything. |

I work for an Engineering company and I do Electricla and Mechanical design. I have two kids also 11 and 2, wife works full time as an accountant, and I just bought my first house about 3 months ago. the great part is i never spend any of our paycheck on joes. i have learned to hussle. that being said. i have learned what items are worth and sell them. old fishing lures, paintings, ect. any joes besides night force as that is all i collect. ill part with something of good value and then have some cash. or ill do side jobs for other engineers and get some extra funds. what i spend each month depends who is parting with night force items or what ever is on evil bay.

I am over marketing materials for a global physical therapy equipment co and my wife is a graphic artist for a sign co. I usually hustle as well for joe money but times are rough in the skateboard biz. Most of the decks that sold for a 1000 barely clear 500 now.
So I spend roughly 60 to 100 a month on toys for me and the boy. I finish school this year and promised my wife I would hold off til then to start my own skateboard co. After that I should be back up to the spend what I want figure. |

I am an Instructor (job coach) for Mentally Retarded Adults and I am also a Nursing Student. My budget is, well, not just my budget. My partner is a Computer Engineer so together we do pretty well.
A budget number is not be something that needs to be shared. What I would like to say is this. It is not about the money you have or the amount of stuff you can buy. It is about the people you meet and the friendships you form. We as collectors buy stuff to fill a hole, so we can feel happy; or we buy stuff to impress others with the amount of junk we have. When you die, all the junk you have collected will mean nothing but the people you leave behind who care about you are priceless.
