I just read off TVShowsOnDVD.com that the complete series sets to both GI Joe and Transformers will be SDCC exclusives. They got us all excited for nothing. On the plus side, at least we won't have to deal with a huge locker and matrix for on our shelves, as that is what each set is going to be packaged in.

Its not as bad as you made it out to be.
First Comic Con, then online, then in stores. I'm cool with that. Transformers DVD news: Announcement for The Transformer - 25th Anniversary Matrix of Leadership Edition: Collector?s Set | TVShowsOnDVD.com |

no offense to that site, or to you for finding that bit of into, good work, but I will wait till hasbo confirms this
it could be that the dvd's will be available is special packaging at SDCC, and standard packaging at retail. good info find though. edit:looks like outsider beat me to it. |

The Joe one will probably be around $100 since each season set is around $25 and there's 4 sets for both seasons.
Kinda curious as to why Shout isn't allowed to release the movie. Who has the rights to it right now? and are they the same people who stopped Hasbro from releasing it with DVD set #5? |

Either way, we have no idea that they're gonna be sold in different packaging, just that the full series sets will be available at SDCC first, then online, then a wide retail release I almost think that they'll all be in the same packaging since the reason Shout isn't releasing the Transformers movie is because it was just re-released a couple of years ago and Shout didn't want to ask fans to "dip a third time". |

I won't order them online though, something like that is something I need to touch before I buy it. I need to make sure all of the discs are secure, plus if there is an issue, I can go right back to the store I got it at and do an exchange. Finally, online will not give me my Best Buy Employee Discount, so if it is $100, it would probably cost me about $65.
