I do not wish to discuss politics or current events, but I do need to know one thing related to collecting. Does anyone know if the current government shutdown situation effects items won from international sellers passing through customs? Just bought some stuff from China, and I just thought of this and now I'm worried in the face of global chaos about getting my toys! Once again... THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL TOPIC- NOT TRYING TO BREAK THE RULES- just need to know if any of you know. MODS- If I am breaking the rules by asking, feel free to delete this... just let me know if you know the answer. You know I've been on here a long time and do not wish to offend anyone. I know I'm probably walking a very fine line... but I really need to know!

blayze, to my understanding, Customs is labeled under services so they are still in business. You may, however, see a delay in the updates of information on the USPS website.
I also found this on the .gov website pertaining to the shutdown: Deliveries will continue as usual because the US Postal Service receives no tax dollars for day-to-day operations. It relies on income from stamps and other postal fees to keep running. |
