Why are the plastic parts so soft? I have been sorting through my Army building Cobra guys and just couldn't believe how soft and rubbery the guns and knives are. Then I realized that the lower arms and lower legs are too. What gives here? Why are they using such poor quality materials? This isn't only visible in the Joe line but in Star Wars and the new Marvel universe lines too. Am I missing something here? I don't ever remember my older ARAH items ever having a problem with warping.
Any ideals on this?

I have noticed that Viper's boots are really soft plastic and can bend like any way, not very cool.

The problem is trying to un-bend the bended. I am still way to confused as to the reason why they are doing this.

You can put the part in warm water, move it to where you want, then rinse it in cold water. It will stay in the new position.
I like the new plastic. I believe one reason for it is to avoid snapped thumbs and broken joints. |

I'm guessing either its a budget issue or Hasbro would rather give us something that wasn't as high quality if they could get it cheaper. But I'm probably wrong, what else is new, haha

I don't think they're of poor quality, but quite the contrary. In any case, i think this new softer material is better. There's no broken pieces, and you can always straighten up whatever is twisted. A good example is the SW figures. You don't have to sweat because you're afraid of broke some piece, just pop whatever you need. But i agree, this rubberish plastic doesn't work good on weapons. |

I see. I don't spend a lot of time writing any one post, I feel the thought is more important than the grammar checks. I guess I have been served. The correct form is "Why are" Enough said I guess... :(
