Like many, I've always wanted the Arashikage Clan tattoo. I just don't really want to ink my forearm.
So, I'd like to ask other fans, is it kosher to get the tattoo on the upper shoulder, like it's displayed on Snake-eyes uniform now? |

Why not? Ive seen that tat on someones leg. In my line of work it would not look professional for me to have a tat on my forearm. As long as you like were its going to be then go for it.

See, I don't think I'm really looking for it to be totally hidden. I just think it would look better on my shoulder. I did think about getting it on my chest though.
Thanks for the opinions! |

It's getting so that gettnig the clan tattoo isn't cool anymore, it's trendy.
Now if you had gotten it years ago, then it would have been cool

I think it's cool regardless... I'm still wanting to get the Cobra sigil on my right shoulder, but I'm a big needle coward!
If I were to get the clan logo, I'd have to get it on the spot where it's supposed to be... which is why I'll never get that particular tat! |

I have wanted to get this tattoo for the longest time now, but I keep on putting it off. It has nothing to do with a work related reason though.
If I do ever decide to get it done I want it on my forearm instead of on my shoulder. The problem with that it is the fact that it will never lay exactly the way I want it to. I have actually gone as far as to draw a mock up of it on my forearm using a dry erase marker to see how it would look. What many people might not realize is that when you rotate your arm around the bones seem to move alone under your skin rather than with the skin. What I mean by that is that if you have the tattoo on the front of your forearm and then rotate your arm around you will still see some of the tattoo sort of "stretching" to the backside of your forearm. The tattoo will appear to move from the front to the side of your arm based on what position your arm is currently in. It's not like having a tattoo on lets say the back of your hand because no matter how you turn your hand the tattoo would always be in the same position. It's hard to explain, but I'm sure that anyone who has a tattoo there knows what I mean. I just can't see how I would get it to sit right the way I would want it if I were to get it on my forearm. If anyone knows what I'm talking about please let me know.

i got mine 10 years ago, and it's on my forearm.
if you get it anywhere else, here's what going to happen... non-fans are going to ask..."what is it, what does it mean?" and fans are going to ask...."why isn't it on your forearm/it's in the wrong place" I think if you're commited enough to get it done, go that extra mile and put it where it belongs. that's just me though.
