OK, here is a topic I have been thinking about. Do you feel that the Resolute figure line will eventually become the Modern Era line?
If the movie line fails and the 25th line runs aground, I believe Hasbro may dump all their energy into making the Cartoon for Resolute and it's figure line. That is just my opinion any one else have any thoughts? Lets talk about this.

No, I wouldn't think so. There is the S6 failure of a show example not to follow.

I don't know. I don't think the ovie line will flop and it appears as thought they [Hasbro] are going to movie-ize all the Joes since we're seeing the likes of Barbecue in ROC form.
Resolute would be cool and I'd love to see more, though I think we'll see a mix of them in with our classics figures.... The classics will eventually 'run aground' since there is a finite ammount of figures to make, so Joe will have to go in a new direction. To be honest, I think we suffered form figure overload this past year with the release of so many collections of Joes. In years past, we saw 12 figures a year. The Classics gave us 12 waves of 12 so I'm REALLY glad for the movie break.

The Movie line is going to be a major buy for me. Yet i am not sure if it will take hold of the kids. I want to see more to come from Hasbro but I think the Resolute may actually gain enough following to become a full fledged Weekly show.

If Resolute becomes the new Modern Era line and it is SEPERATE from the Movie line, I would be very cool with that.

I am OK with that too. I am just afraid that one day the the 25th line will have lost its luster and they will be forced to abandon GI Joe once more. I would rather they keep the current line going with Resolute or something else rather than see it end once more.

My two cents...
First off. The movie will make money. It may get panned by critics and fans but it will make money. Maybe not Transformers 2 money but definitely heaps of cash. Resolute hasn't even been released as a web cartoon yet, maybe they'll make it a full cartoon series. It's any ones guess at this point. No one has hear anything about it. I do like the character stylings in the resolute line. It would be interesting to see if they continue making more characters in that line but the bread and butter, too me is keeping the products alive and continuing to make a great product, period. More 25th, more resolute, more stories... If everything does well (movie, toys sales, etc...) why not keep the lines going and grow an even larger Joeverse. It's all in the economics. Sigma 6 didn't have the same push that the current joe toy line has. It seems like JOE could come back and a new generation of kids could enjoy these awesome action figures. This summer will be a big opportunity to win over new young boys and girls while maintaining a strong connection with the fans that have been with ARAH line for 25 years or more. None of us wants to see JOE go.

I also am not sure about the movie line grabbing the kids. Resolute could be the hook.
