If I get promoted...
First you have to pass the test. Then you submit a package to the board and are reviewed against everyone else in your rate(specialty) that also passed the test. the percent selected last year was 16% or so. I don't see it getting any better anytime soon, and my package is not competitive against my peers because I have been working out of my specialty for about 7 years now. (I hate my specialty). The good news is, I finally have the opportunity to change specialties, the new one has a much better promotion rate, and is in the field that I have been working in for the past 7 years. So next year will be my first year in the new rate making promotion unlikely, but the following year should be my first real shot! ... and then it's up to God! Quote:
