Wow...SUPER quiet in here tonight. Hope everyone had a great day today. I worked tonight, and wish I hadn't. Took my baby with me and she was NOT very happy. She is used to being in bed by 7:15pm. We didn't get home until 8:20pm and went right to bed. IDK if this is going to be such a good idea. Hope you all have a great night tonight!!

I understand your decision. But as a Navy Career Counselor, allow me to point out some facts I use at work.
42 million people unemployed as of right now. Unemployment has been at 9.5% or greater for the last 14 months and according to the Sec of Treasury it will take 5 years to fix this. If you can stomach it, don't leave the steady job you have for a job that you don't know for sure about. And remember if they ask you something and you don't do it... the employers won't hesitate to find one of the 42 million who want a job to do it for them. Its called an Employers market. So be very thankful and very careful with the jobs you have vipers... you are blessed to have them right now, and a survivor to have kept them for so long. |

Are you trying to scare me into the Navy, NV? Ha, nice try! Seriously, though, you're right. I feel REALLY lucky to have the good job I have. |

I kept my job, and I took the increase in hours, but I did tell them that with my other jobs I am really unable to take on "more responsibility". They were understanding and still will allow me to take my daughter with if I so choose. Having said that, as much as I love my daughter being at work with me, I have decided to have my oldest daughters BFF babysit my youngest daughter instead.
My youngest daughter was MISERABLE at my work the other night. I work from 4pm til 8pm. My baby USUALLY is ASLEEP by 7:30. She was unable to watch "her" movies, she was unable to play with "her" toys, and she did have a limit as to how much she could eat and WHAT she could eat. She also missed her bubble bath and did not like that I had to hold and deal with babies all night and so I could not cuddle exclusively with her. She loves one on one with me or her sitter and would have been much happier at home. My daughters BFF and I decided that my baby will come with me to work until about 4:30-5pm every night then the sitter will come get her and bring her home, feed her a HEALTHY dinner, give her a bubble bath and get her into bed. Since the BFF is here a lot anyways (hanging with my oldest) she is giving me a break and is going to charge me what I was paying for 2 nights a week to watch my baby 4 nights a week. I think this will work much better. Now...I am sure you are all asking why my oldest isn't watching my baby, and that is because during the week she lives with her dad since he lives 1 block away from her school. Makes it easier for her to get to school and she can sleep in. My life is crazy...But it is a good crazy. I had fun at school with my baby tonight, and since it was "reading camp out" my daughter got 2 new books, I got 2 new books, we "camped out" while reading and had "camping" food for dinner. She loves mommy and her time...and I cherish EVERY SECOND. Doing little things like this make me happy that I am a mom. Well all...Hope you all had a great night, and I will be back tomorrow some time. COBRA!! |
