Specs, I have come up with a plan.
Me and AVAC came up with an even better head to use. You and I will need to discuss how much these will cost to paint.

There isn't a texture which makes it easier to cast and the eye opening is smaller.

I can do some filling by building up thick paint layers then sanding it to match the cloth. |

You're talking about on the mask and not the hood right?

Right. The hood pops right off.
The smoothness of the back of the head will help. There won't be a sprue spot and we won't have to fill the neck.

Hey, Spectre! I have a question for you.
I'm painting the doors on my Stinger, and the best-matching color I could find (to the original color) was Rust-Oleum automotive primer. But, I'm worried about how well that would adhere to the plastic. So, I plan on using Valspar "Plastic Primer" first, then using the automotive primer. With the plastic primer on first - that should adhere ok, shouldn't it? |

Thought you might be back on the crack! If there is no texture to the cloth, it can be narrowed easily. I just can't remember what that head scult is right now....... Maybe I'm back on the crack. |

With the plastic primer on first - that should adhere ok, shouldn't it? On figs I didn't see any difference in the effects and scrapped it. I have used Rust-oleum straight on vehicles but it was the one that said it works on plastic as well. Never use the Auto primer, but being primer, I would think it should work fine. Test it on some scrap first and see how you like it. |
