That's cool, that sounds like fun about the tournament, and on the roadtrip too. But tell us how you REALLY feel about the Yankees ! I drove by the Louisville Slugger factory once a few years ago. It was cool to see it but I wish I had the time to stop and go inside. So you liking the POC stuff that's coming out?
My wife and I had our first son back in May. That's what's new with me, but it's been a huge change! |

Oh, man. There's no way I could deal with a baby. A two year old, sure. But there's all that stuff on the way to losing teeth that's just too much for me. Congrats on the little guy. Does he have sisters or was this the first birth?
I found the POC stuff on a shelf in Indiana and thought "hey, wow, new figures." but then I saw that they were ten dollars and left them where they were. Now that I'm back in PA, I see them all over the place for 7 bucks, and still, I leave them where they are. They're not the GiJoe that I got into this for. I might pick up the Low Light if I see it, but reusing the same characters over and over is what made me lose interest in joe in the first place, it's certainly not going to keep me interested when I can go on roadtrips and find other, better ways to spend my cash. I went on a roadtrip to Texas a few winters ago, and hit the Louisville Slugger factory on the return trip, that was a great little place. I love early 20th century baseball, and seeing the origins of the factory was fantastic. It was also cool seeing all the old players that most of the world has forgotten on their wall of signatures. I love that game.

Thanks man! He's our first, hopefully the next one will be a girl and we'll be done. I just finished buying up the first 2 waves of Combat Heroes for him, hopefully I can get him into GI Joe when he's a bit older.
Lowlight looks really cool. I'm like you though, I'm going to try to stick to one version of the characters that they keep on reusing. There's that Snake Eyes that comes with two heads that looks ridiculously cool, that'll probably be the only version of him I get for POC. I'm also trying to stick to getting the re-released vehicles. The Snow Cat's cool, looking forward to the Rage as well. I didn't have either of those as a kid. I used to work in the building right next to the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto, but I don't think I've really been inside of it. I might have to check that out one time when I go back. I'm not so much into baseball anymore, but I love the history of it all. |

Adios IGs! Nirvana, I saw the same Avatar stuff they have at FD at Tuesday Morning yesterday. They want $12.99 for the AMPs, $14.99 for the gunship things and $3.99 for the figs. I was looking for that Roshi/Chow Yun Fat fig though so I passed on it all.

I wish we could keep these threads just for the teams they're for. Stay out, infidels!

And regarding sticking to one version of figures, I've already got a dozen Snake Eyes, there's no way I'm buying another one no matter how cool he looks. I might pick up the Snow Cat, but I can't until it goes on clearance because of that ham hock of a character they stuck with it. It'd have been nice to have a frostbite. We're still waiting. The next one will come with a frostbite and then I'd have two snowcats. It's transparent, Hasbro. I'm not buying it anymore.

Hey A.P. what's up? I aleady bought W2 SE to use for a custom figure of some sort. I swapped the head with the GH pilot, Tomahawk with the Snowcat driver.
