Hi Joes;
For the first day in almost two weeks the temperatures at work were tolerable. The Wal-mart I work at needs to have it's air conditioning system completely replaced, renovations are started but no idea when the air system will be online. Have an interview for a Full time position in the store... so might be going fulltime, which would be good for paying off my school debts before next semester. Anyway has CWO been around? Cause yeah, I would like to join the team. |

For example, being a foreigner makes the figures a lot harder to find, and they cost between 25-30 bucks each. Also, i usually buy stuff from a fellow collector here, since collects the classic more known characters, i buy all rest like drivers, variants etc...i end up using some sort of deluxe fodder lol! Morale wasn't never much of a problem here, that's what i like of the Joe team! Quote:

I was always freezing, and they treat us like garbage...and Carrefour here is better than Walmart at employees treatment... Good luck with the interview! Don't worry, he'll know.

Well, one amazing thing about Wal-mart is their stock options package... They pay in 15 percent of what you buy, which is an amazingly great return.
Starting next paycheck I'm going to have 100 come off my paycheck each week. I mean I don't want to stay at this paygrade forever, that's why I am in school. But people have actually become millionaires by retirement by using the stock plan. |

No... there is a 10% discount on merchandise... but there's also a stock plan. So I'll have money coming off my cheques that will be used to buy stock, and Wal-mart will put 15% of what I put towards the price of the stock. So 100 dollars off my paycheck gets me 115 dollars worth of stocks, which means over a year I spend 2600 on stocks and get 2990 worth of stock. And Wal-mart is pretty recison proof so the stock should stay fairly stable... It's a great way to invest at a low level. |

Basically, they force you to spend those 100 bucks lol But yeah, i guess it's cool cos you can buy what you need there and get some "extra cash". Coupled with the 10% discount, sounds like a nice deal. Back when i worked on the other market, we didn't get anything. We get yelled in front of people, insulted (really, like "stupid fuckers" or "assholes") and only got the measly 10% discount on some articles. I got enough of it, and almost punch the big boss but my friends there grabbed me...got fired two days later, and i couldn't been happier

I'm not forced to spend the 100 bucks it's optional and it's not on merchandise it's on stock in the company. I think we're having a language problem... like stock exchange? |
