Aw, pity...craking open torsos is tricky, indeed. I use a mix; some torsos can be opened easily with an xacto blade, others simply pop open with a vice.
I'm thinking on doing a thread with the schematics on where exactly cut with the xacto knife, to open them easily... I suggested sewing thread cos it's easier to find There are a lot of different threads if you can find them. I suggested the glue, cos you can shape it that way. You put the glue on it, shape it and let it dry. Or simply shape it after it's dry, but the other way is better if you want to make it fit the neck/shoulders/chest. Post pics when finished!

Ooh i was also thinking of using some black coated line that I have here that's got a metal core, and i can shape it to be what I want, plus I can shape it, and drill out the hole I need for an insert, then glue it in place with Loctite gel glue. and whamo, paint the whistle gold.
I was thinking that you do a lot of models, and wondering if you had some thin wires.

I figured, lol!
Well, you can always use it, but it lacks the rope texture...could be cool to replace the string of Ship's anchor, so you can pose it too. I got a bunch of wires from my old PC, but they're too thick. The red ones make great TNT packs, tho!
