I'm doing great Strider, thanks and how are you? I picked up several of the wave 11 figures at Big Lots today.

Well I got sucked in because I saw a bunch of them for really cheap. I got a single carded Batman at a show for $1. I knew Tuesday Morning had them for $3 a pop for singles, so I picked up the Joker, and then Nightwing and the Question. Then I saw a 3-pack with Green Lantern, Green Arrow and Black Canary clearanced at Ross for $3.99. It went downhill from there. I was just going to get Batman-related characters but the more I bought, the more I liked them. I'm going to get that set with Brain in it, this weekend probably, and I'm going to try to talk my wife into getting me that 8 pack with the Kingdom Come Superman.

I don't think it's odd at all. I KNOW the DCIH figs are crap in the articulation department. Well, the older ones that I'm going after. But they got that old Super Powers feel to them in 3 3/4th scale and I think that's cool for some reason. The Marvel Legends and DC Classics figs look pretty cool, but I'd never have the space to pick those lines up. I'm not even current in my comic book reading anymore, but I have to agree, all my favourite comic book stories are DC. Kingdom Come, Dark Knight Returns, Watchmen. Marvel stories don't seem to have that same epic or landmark feel to them like DC stories do.

Well, i read alot of marvel too...I've always felt that Marvel comics looked great, but were light on the plot/story. DC comics were great reads, but should be doublebagged for the art most of the time.

Good man, just chilling. We got our last class (I think) at the hospital tomorrow night, so after that it'll be a fun waiting game. We've also had all our showers already, so the kid's room is full of stuff that we have to sort through. We had exactly one month to go as of yesterday.
I picked up a GI Joe shirt at Baby Gap/Gap Kids a month ago, it's pretty cool. Thing is, it's for 4 years olds, so I'm just going to bank it until he's old enough to rock that. I haven't been following too closely, but looks like your Reds just barely made it. I hate to do it, but I hope Montreal wins tonight (no disrespect Leet ). Canada needs to win a Stanley Cup again! |
