Lol, yeah, I love seafood and squid and octopus are two of my favs, plus im a sushi hound. I managed to get one of my coworkers to eat some calamari, but they only tried it because it was fried. On the other hand, i have this very opinionated woman that works at the station right next to mine, and i took great pleasure freaking her out one day. I brought some sushi for lunch in my bento box and she was all "Thats a very pretty lunch box" then i popped the lid off and it was all Tako nigiri (octopus on rice, suckers up) ;) it was awesome.
Some days i wish Gagh was real, i would eat it every day for lunch just for the shock value. Plus the thought of you and your meal locked in a battle over who will eat who is strangely appealing to me. |

That Klingon worm-looking stuff? HA! That's awesome!
Yeah, when I grill the squid (which we've been doing alot lately), I text the pictures to one of my co-workers here and she usually freaks. I don't know why they have no problem eating fried calamari (although they stay away from the tentacle pieces) but think that a whole squid on a grill is gross. I've been wanting to pick up some of those baby octopus just to freak people out here too! My wife said she smelled the soy sauce in the rice more than the shrimp, so I'm good there. |

Do you put Oyster sauce in your fried rice? I do and i think it really gives it a good flavor.
yeah, I don't really get fear of eating any animal. If its edible and not a portal for excrement, i'll give it a try. And i think the weirder parts like tentacles to be extra fun! |

No but that's a good idea. My wife likes a ton of sesame oil in it.
I didn't get pictues of it, but when we were in the Philippines in November, my wife and I went to the market one day and ate grilled chicken intestines and feet on a stick. She doesn't eat pork, but I tried snout and 3 other things too. Snout was the best one, so much so that I forgot what else I ate. Damn Tenk, you, TC, Sho and I should start a No Reservations or Bizarre Foods Tanker group! |

I would totally join such a group. I don't really like feet, the texture isn't my bag. i would totally rock the intestines though. I have had snout too, and if its done right it is fantastic. But then, just about every part of the pig is good if done up right.
I like to use sesame oil for my fried rice too, or a blended oil with sesame in it and usually i put some garlic in the bottle to flavor the oil. |
