Well the problem is the wife doesn't believe in buying dvd's. We get in heated debates when i want to buy one so I am quite selective on my purchases. I will probably sneak Resolute into the collection at som epoint though. |

It was like $5 at walmart when it was released. Why can't you buy DVDs? Is this a netflix thing?

I was approached some time ago by someone to help write a fictional Sunbow season three to take the place of Operation Dragonfire and the DiC GIJOE series. It is meant to be a sequel to GIJOE the Movie.
I have treated this person terribly. I have procrastinated to pathetic proportions and he is as patient and tolerant as he can be about it. He has good ideas about what he wants: Basically to be in the spirit of the Sunbow series, meaning the season would star the 1987 characters with the earlier Joes and COBRAs taking a backseat and also prominently feature the new vehicles, etc., being introduced that year. It's the whole watching a movie more than once thing. My defense is that I don't buy a DVD unless I am going to watch it multiple times. I'm not one f those people who buy movies just to have a huge collection. If I buy a movie it's because I REALLY like it. But ultimately I pick my battles and she doesn't complain much about my toy purchases so I'm happy with that. |

I know you're an expert on the Sunbow series so I may ask some advice down the road.
I'm retconning the retconned Cobra-La COBRA Commander. Somewhere (I'm thinking between Season 1 and 2) Cobra-La kidnapped the original COBRA Commander and copied his memories and personality and transferred them to the Cobra-La scientist who becomes "COBRA Commander." This Commander was then sent to replace the original, and possessing all of the original's memories, he seamlessly assumed the role. However, the ambition of the original Commander's personality plus brain damage from the spores unbalanced him, and he became ineffective. Hence, the creation of Serpentor. The COBRA leaders also were going along with the degenerate-humanity spore plot due to having been implanted with psychic motivators on board the flying jellyfish en route to Cobra-La. The original Commander was kept in prison in Cobra-La, but he escapes when Cobra-La is destroyed.
