Granted, I have no expertise in medical anything, but if it's possible to grow nerve cells that way, what are the odds of figuring out a way to get a nerve cell to regenerate based on this research?
A non-technical explanation would be appreciated, as I probably wouldn't understand anything highly detailed. That's where stem cells come in. But my lab doesn't work with those. This is so that you can integrate robotic prosthetics that can be controlled with thought, provide artificial senses of sight and hearing to the impaired, map brain waves and directly medicate mental disorders (depression etc) or (potentially) eventually link the human brain to a computer system. |

Didn't I hear that scientists were having trouble breaking the brain code though?

Cool. Maybe once this stuff starts working in humans we can do something for some of the vets wounded in the Gulf and Afghanistan. This is some seriously cool stuff.

I like how you have the trooper on his knees shooting. Funny. Cool setup. And I noticed you straightened the "surveillance port" label.

Nice work Ren and DH, that was the line of the day right there!
I met up with Bats for a sketchy-looking toy exchange in the parking lot of a ghetto mall. The exchange was sketchy-looking, the toys were cool. Then I went shopping with the wife. Then we went to see Zombieland (which is pretty freakin' funny!). Just got home to rest up for a bit before meeting friends for dinner tonight. So today's had it's ups and downs! |

Silver lining.

It's cool man, I think it's routine that this happens the weekend before a game now. The calm before the storm and all that.

Oh yeah, Barefoot, I went to two Hot Topics today looking for clearanced Joe shirts. Came up short, but I saw an Insecticon shirt that said Buggin Out on it. I thought you might like that.
Edit: Saw it on their website: http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/Lic...irt-243840.jsp Too bad they're out of the Bazooka shirts. In my size anyways. Last edited by solid_strider; 11-08-2009 at 08:10 PM.. |
