Rangers... You have a few....
Depending on which version you're looking at... Flint is one, Stalker is another, then you have Beach-head is is more of a tactical assault for a raid. but all in all who sticks out first as a Ranger, and only way I can see it as a ranger is not because of his MOS. it's the wings he has. Flint's wings.. have been paratrooper, as well as Recon wings. which both fit in Rangers. , then you have Airborne, who is also a Ranger. every one of them is a different style. But i'd have to go with Flint or Stalker. (i thought that rangers where a specialized branch, but they have a lot of "types") Ok, that's it LOL I was thinking on something more like this:

Are we talking U.S. Army ranger? I thought we were talking about Ranger as in the job classification. Rangers throughout history and throughout the world have always been deep recon and covert ops, where do think Green berets came from? They were a group if veteran rangers. To me a ranger would typically be wearing light clothing and armor, possibly even dressed like a hunter with heavy gear

I'm gathering info, to have a rough idea to what to do for the game banner Btw, what's the difference between being a green beret and a red beret?

Yes but if you read a few nights ago when I asked to transfer to ranger div. with flint... due to the SEAL background... Henning had said no cause of naval battles... and much like Rangers.. Seals are also deep recon, and spec. warefare. Not just restricted to waters. Rangers are drop deploy , evisricate, and rondazouves. yeah spellin' aint the best there but you get the stickler. SEAL units work very very similar. covert ops. SnD[Search and Destroy], SnR[search and rescue], RnRI [Recon and recover intel], IntNDT Sec[infiltrate and detain- secure]..
sorry if I'm not much help... I'm just a sailor....with a parrot.

Went out today looking for the WM exclusives. Didn't find any more (I still need Gung-Ho and Copperhead and one more Shockwave/Night Creeper). Instead found an old, beat up Armadillo & Air Chariot set on sorta-clearance for $15. 2 figs and 2 vehicles for the same price as one exclusive 2-pack, and $2 cheaper than the ROC Armadillo with one fig. Made me happy.

What do you want for so many Shockwaves? Doing a strike team?

But when I designed the Ranger class for the game, I wasn't talking 1rst Army Rangers Mountain Division, 25th battalion, or 82nd airborne Rangers. I was talking Ranger as in what type of soldier; Rangers have existed since pre world war one, nearly every country with a strong military has Rangers, and Marines and Infantry. I hope that makes sense. Believe me I'm not dissing the Seals, Far from it. |
