I can't be too mad about losing Flash, it was an 8 year old (ish) kid with his mom who was hunting through the joe wall (yes, wall. Its 7 feet high, 8 feet wide filled with joes 10 deep, I love that place). What was more shocking is he was paying most of his attention to the 25/ME joes on the right half of the wall, and was taking with his mom in a VERY well informed way about whether Shipwreck was re-issued in the restock pack, about the army-builder case with the red ninja, and about case allotments! He actually knew and CARED about the classic figures! So, to all of you wondering how kids look at G.I. Joe, it appears that they are very interested in the classic interpretations of our characters, at least as much as the modern movie version. (BTW, the kid checked out with a Red Ninja, Mutt and Junkyard, ROC Flash, and another ROC figure I didn't get a chance to ID). The good: We watched the old 1987 movie and he was totaly into it! the scary: His birthday was a week ago, I bought him six RoC figures (TRU 2 for 10.99), he still hasn't opened them, he wants to keep them MOC!! When I was a kid, the toys would be open before I got home, I even encouraged him to open them, he was like "I don't want mess up the card", LOL. |

I am doing pretty good right now Clala, and I smell like a bbq smoke house right about now! Having a few cold ones while doing it so it's all good! I hope work isn't to much of a pain in the a$$

That sounds good TC. We had Spring Creek BBQ for lunch on Thursday, Spring Creek rocks! Our guests went home today, and I'm beat. I managed to watch District 9 and Inglorious Basterds between Friday and Saturday while my wife took them on shopping marathons. I managed to check alot of places out, but no Wal-Mart or Target exclusives have made it up here yet.

Bats, it was too short but it was alright still. All we really did in Austin was take them up to Mt. Bonnell. I love it up there. The rest of the time was at the Round Rock outlet mall. By the time I had walked around the whole thing and picked up some clothes, they had only covered an eighth of the mall. I went to the theater to watch Inglorious Basterds.

You been to North Park Mall in Dallas? I watched District 9 while they shopped there on Friday. When that was over, I met up with them for dinner and had time to go to the Toys R Us AND Half Price Books across the street before they were finally done. I'm looking forward to just chilling tomorrow!
I thought Basterds was good but it wasn't great. I actually liked District 9 better. |

They have a watch tower. Pretty awesome figs. They're like od joes, but better. Still they don't have the quality of the 25th stuff. With a bit of work, you can adapt the parts to the joes. I've used a masked special ops PTE for Nunchuk. They have very good gear. Quote:
Is that guy on the left bottom corner saying " 'nuff"?
