Just studying with the occasional break here. Thursday and Friday are our exams for the Cardiorespiratory course. And next Wednesday and Thursday are our Year 1 exams for communications, physical exam and procedural skills.

You'll forgive my checking back, but I read some of your posts from earlier about what was going on. From what you described her condition is serious, but hopefully recoverable in time if she's stable now. I'll spare you the medical jargon, but both the lung collapse and pericardial effusion (fluid around the heart) are common and usually easily fixed without complication. As for the chemo, I'd need more details than I have any right to know to comment accurately (and honestly, you probably shouldn't be privy to them either if you're not related). Just pray and trust that the docs there can do their job. Side note: I feel mildy guilty for not knowing you and DS were dating (should have figured that out) |

Glad to here that Tali. That is good news in a situation like this.

The biggest concern I've had is that, as I understand, the docs say that this is one of most serious cases they've ever seen- as in a once every year kind of scenario- and they're saying it's a 50/50 whether or not she'll pull through. I know her, she'd take those odds and come out swinging. She's not the biggest or toughest, but by god she's a Green Lantern if I ever saw one.

Not even her brother has figured it out yet, so don't worry about that.

I'm not going to pretend to be able to tell you what's going on from 100miles away, but even if it is a bad case, it is likely something they've seen before, so they'll know how to treat it for the best possible outcome. In this case, stable is a good place to be working from. |

I'm afraid I'm not hugely familiar with lymphomas, so I'm not entirely clear on what severity would refer to (could be a few things I know of or something I haven't come across yet). It depends on a lot of factors.
