I'm fine with the M4, it's just so... basic. I just don't see state-of-the-art advance special infantry outfitted with the best equipment money can buy using it. The SCAR on the other hand is fine for that role, but still. I might buy a few G36s or cusomizable SCARs. Or probably wait for the HK416 (G36 action in an M4 body).t
I prefer a bit of old-school goodness like the M4 |

But honestly, the M4 doesn't use the 5.56x45 to its best. I'd rather give my imaginary army a weapon that does.

This I am aware of. I'd quote statistics here about the M4's record and lack of stopping power, but I doubt it'd do any good. Considering the USAF doesn't really give you any choice in what weapon you get, I'm not contesting having a decent gun as opposed to a bad or no gun.

Again, I direct you to the HK416. It ain't cheap, but Delta Force loves it and it puts a whole lot of power behind the 5.56. It also handles almost exactly the same as the M4, as far as weight and receiver configuration go.

The US has "Been looking" For a replacement rifle for 30 years. They've not done it yet.

Hence my preference for the G36. Expensive as hell, but worth it. Also the FAMAS, the bullpup configuration does wonders. Not to mention that nightmarish fire rate. That has to be for the sole purpose of psychological warfare.
