Can't wait to finish, i've bought a lot of customizing materials i want to try. I've recently found that the "Rust Oleum- Painter's touch" line can be found here. Pretty expensive because it's imported of course, but great to work with. I bought a primer spray and works like a charm...no wonder customizers here work so fast! I have to wait hours (almost a day) ti'll our local stuff dries, while the sprays dry in half an hour or so. Our materials have a better finish tho, but the saved time it's useful too. Combining the two i've finally found the perfect point of "shine" of the figure, that imitates the plastic gloss texture. Also found a kind a of fabric that it's way better than microcanvas. You can even do bullet holster or real working pouches with it.

I dunno hows called the fabric, or if it can be bought i great quantities, but it's rather easy to find, and really cheap. I dunno if you got them there, but you've heard of baby towels? higienic towels? They're small pieces of soft "fabric" usually soaked in some sort of baby oil. It's used to clean your baby, of course. Well that. If you let it dry, it's awesome, because it's thin as paper, and doesn't has a texture (it's not really fabric actually). You might have to glue two layers thogeteher, but using vinilic glue will make it really resistant and flexible. ideal to make a longcoat, long skirts or cloaks and stuff (with vinilic glue you can actually shape it, to give it a permanent floating look for example)

Yeah, regular enamels take around 8 hours to dry. A bit more if the plastic is soft. The good side is that our enamels usually don't give you the sticky effect (actually, the problem is the plastic, i guess it's the combination of pigments and materials that react witrh the enamels pigments).

It's like some sort of flexible paper. So you can cut it easily, and make, for example, a small hat for Rock n Roll, or a short overcoat for the Crimson Guards. Pretty awesome. My plan was to make long skirts for the CGs i have, so they look like wearing longcoats.

I am trying to envision my uses for it..=) |
