Pointed this out several times already, but it's a CheyTac Intervention. It uses CheyTac's proprietary .408 CheyTac cartridge, which fills a role between the .338 LaPua and .50 BMG. It's both an effective anti-personnel and anti-armor round, hitting harder than the .338 but having higher mobility (delivery-wise) than the .50. It's also a very aerodynamically stable round.

and rounds are the ones like the .408, and .50 that are rated for "Anti-material' because you're not 'technically', supposed to use them against troops. You're supposed to use them on Material or equipment. We get around that little loop hole by pointing out "Uniforms are equipment" "Dogtags are equipment" "Sunglasses are equipment" "Helmets are equipment" ect. For Lowlight. I suspect they gave him the CheyTac instead of the Barrett because they'd already given a Barrett like weapon to Snow job and didn't want to simply reuse it. And people like the concept of "Gun in a box" or 'Gun in a bag" where you slap it together and snipe with it. In reality real snipers don't do that. It takes dozens if not 100s of rounds to properly Zero in a scope, so you don't just take um off your rifle and put them in a box. Nor do you take them out of a box. click it on the rifle then shoot straight.

Which is a technical way of saying "It's an extreme range round used in the rifle that comes in at a very good average between both"

So I get the call and go down to get the figure.... I get down there and people want to know what I got. I tell them and someone says open it so I can see it. I do and everyone is impressed. I let it sink in and then I say you want to see something cool? They do and I show them how the gun fits into the case and the bullet case which had the removable bullet (that I lost) and they were so impressed. They kept asking me ?s for the next 5 mins or so. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. |
