It started out as one person creating the game and two people running it for each team. Originally it was just hitters and healers and started out with low level hits but it was real easy to level up your hit points. there was alot of arguing and thread derailing throughout the game so sometimes you had to go through several pages to figure out who the possible targets were. it did have some fun points because there was alot of taunting and teasing in the game. eventually people starting making up players to help with the ranks on their teams just to win so the game had to change and we lost quite a few members because of it.

The game was first designed by Texas Doom. He was the original GM. Whether he designed the Hurt/Heal format or brought it from another forum game I don't know. It was very basic, just hurt and heal.
Next was Pyro and Rob, Pyro was the rules guy and Rob was the story writer. They both collaborated to create the scenarios. After that was myself, and during my time the game has gone through three major phases, the original 2 team game, three team game, and now the Strike Team/ Spec Ops format. It is important to note that from day one, Vadersquest has always been the one behind the scenes keeping the game going and finding new GMs to run the game when the old ones would leave. When Texas left, he Found Pyro, when Pyro left, he Found me. So, this game really owes it's existence to VQ. There would be no game, if not for VQ. |

I believe it was an original idea. Every other game I've seen that uses it was started after. Next was Pyro and Rob, Pyro was the rules guy and Rob was the story writer. They both collaborated to create the scenarios. Actually, there was a period of time just after Texasdoom left when it was just Pyro. It was Pyro V2.0 that involved rob as writer. That revamp was actually mostly due to me After that was myself, and during my time the game has gone through three major phases, the original 2 team game, three team game, and now the Strike Team/ Spec Ops format. Texas has stopped by perhaps 3 times since I've been here (3 years now) |

Yeah, Texas Doom hit me up last year and was like, "Wow, I can't believe this thing is still going, I can't believe what you've done with it, amazing!" He was shocked that there was like 100 people playing the game now, LOL. He's a cool guy. |

The history of the game is very interesting. I'd love to find out more about how some decisions were made (like adding spec ops). Good stuff.
