new cockpit looks super detailed except for one flaw and It might be because we cant see in there perfectly. Theres no joystick...I hate it when you get a cockpit like that with all the bells and whistles but they leave out the most important feature!

JA77 or SolidWii...not sure who said it. Something about it because of the box size, dont know where they got their info from I assumed they were right. But either way, if you have to put the cockpit together then, fixing it shouldnt be that hard.

I am not worried about the cockpit... I am think more along the lines of the mechanics and the springs for the landing gear. There ain't a whole lot of workspace in that area.

Same here but I'll still be making mine a 2 seater. Since you have to put it together out of the box it makes it easier. I think Shippy can verify for me that on the originals, the front seat, the pilots legs go into the nose cone a little. Its a simple task of gutting it, making room in the cone, and blah blah, you get the rest.
And yes, the pilots legs fit into the nose cone...more than a little. Quote:
to my knoweldge, there's Nothing eLse that nEeds to be assembled either. wxc, you Have any insight? According to Troy (or perhaps it was someone else at toyfair) there is a joystick. |

I dont have an old one, does it go together with screws? If so you could probably pull it apart and gut the mechanism that ties those parts together.

Make a tutorial. Pretty much everyone will want to copy that. Me included.

According to Troy (or perhaps it was someone else at toyfair) there is a joystick. Just going off of hearsay that I thought was accurate...could be dead wrong good to know the pilots legs go in the nose cone. I'll definetly make a tutorial. I was thinking Id have a hard time getting a second seat, but if I scoot the current one forward, I could probably plasticard the gap, and some extra details left from its backing and that could work for the 2nd one. Dunno its all speculation till its in hand.

WHICH MAKES NO G*D DAMN SENSE AT ALL!! Unless they shortened up the Striker a bit.. the bottom and top halves are still gonna be long pieces and the wings are always tucked in so I am really confused now about this small box discussion. |

Here's what I figured. It's just a guess but if you look at the skystriker box and the jet itself, there is no way it could fit in the box without being disassembeled somehow. Maybe when they ordered the new mold, they planned in advance a way to make it modular. I wasn't at the show so I don't know if it comes apart or not.
