Expendables didnt try to be something it couldnt. Wasnt trying to live up to anything or be serious. Predators failed for me on all those levels. The original is a masterpiece. The sequel while has some good components and potential did not deliver for me at all. I want to either be entertainted immensely by a movie or intrigued. If I cant have those I definetly want to be scared by a monster movie at the least.

Know how it goes. I'm still getting my stuff straight, and I've been working on it for nearly a year. Then again, I have a tendency to dive into "world-building".

I'm not the only one! I actually had fun with Rourke's cheap phylosophy (sp?) lessons, and the basketball game beating. And yes, i enjoyed Predators. Not the best movie i've seen, but there are some great concepts brought in. The Predogs weren't, though.

I'm only 25 so :P I grew up with Power Rangers, Beast Wars, Mystic Knights, Spider Man, Exo Squad, Conan the Adventure cartoon, Gargoyles, GI Joe DIC series, Duck Tales, Rescue Rangers, Gummi Bears, GI Joe, Transformers, Ring Raiders, Robotech, Beetle Borgs, VR Troopers, Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation, Original TMNT series, Tail Spin, Xmen, Super Mario Bros Super Show, Silver Surfer TV series.
I got more the list will go on and on. Quote:
I'm 20 in a month. So yeah, I'm a baby compared to the rest of you geezers. Grew up playing with Power Rangers, Digimon, Pokemon, Ronin Warriors, Beast Wars, had a few Destroids from the hold Robotech line, Spider Man, some Gundam, Beetle Borgs, Mystic Knights, all that "inferior" stuff.

ROTFL!!!!!! haha!
I cant speak for Tali, Im 25 though. I had G2 Transformers along with my brothers G1 hand me downs. Beast Wars was my favorite incarnation as a kid. We also had a TV station that played reruns of the Sunbow series. So I didnt miss out on anything other than the first releases of the toys. Heck between my cousins and my brother I had more original Joe stuff than the Star Brigaders Battle Corps. With Star Brigades prices went up and my mom bought a lot less of it. I remember the commercial for the Whale and the ones that had Deep Six and his sadistic water squirting Dolphin. My favotrite Cobra was the Battle Corp Eel with missle firing Shark. Ok.. now it's ME who is showin` some age... edited addition... Indiana Jones' Original series action figures and films.. Star-wars Empire strikes back and return of the jedi were seen during original relases in the theater back in the 80's... Not the 1990's re-releases.. I only watched New Hope when it was re-issued.. since it at the time had been the only SW film not to have been seen first time on the big screen. Glad I was able to experiance that! Oh.. and carebears. ::chuckles::
