Whoa HAAS... where do you get off telling me not to offer any advice to anyone? I just told people where to get decals and cutting them to their own needs. I didn't go into a detailed story about sticker applications! I just basically said: "Get sticker sheets from JRuben, they are cheap, you just gotta cut them yourself." Do you got a business for printing out a set of Flagg decals? Sailor!

OK.... those of you who are complaining about haveing to cut out decals... listen up from a pro at decal applying... Ok? First off... Batman stop offering things to people. that is not the answer...
As most of you know by now if you'd looked into any of the model albums i have in the profile side, you'll see i've got graphics on a few of my cars. Now... I can lay a decal down with the best of them. So I'm gonna give a little tip. What pair of snippers you use, can mean sucess of failure. Failure is a dress rehearsal for accomplishment of sucess. Now... What I use are two different kinds of snippers... Singer thread snippers are expensive in places like Sally's beauty salon. However walmart in their craft dept. has gold snippers that look like a stork on the handle design. Pick up a pair of these. Next... a pair of curved snippers. Hobby shop will have these. They are used for cutting wheel wells out in 1:10th scale Lexon bodies. Go to TowerHobbies.com and look up curved sissors. You might get lucky. Use the tip to cut, not the entire length of the cutters. Take your time and stay just by the line or a tiny fraction in front of it. Rotate the paper sheet, and the sissors. not just one or the other. You also may want to pick up #11 Exacto Razor blades, and an Exacto knife kit. These come in handy when seperating the adhesive back on the sticker sheet. then you should not have a problem laying the decal down. In some cases use a small hard edge ... like a credit card. to work air bubbles out from the inside to the outside of the label. Any questions about Label applications or anything of that nature, feel free to contact me direct. YO JOE! |

Water slide decals are the bomb for models! I try to make custom ones for my 1:24 scale General Lee, and I can't suck bad enough at it!

I made a wrecked General Lee for Dukesfest 2006 model contest and used the body from the ERTL General Lee kit. I haven't worked on a model in so long... all the paint is screwed up and the model glue is dried up. I have lost interest since the Joes came back into my life!
