I vividly recall in Joe's earliest comics; someone important, I believe a general, Flagg?, died. Can anyone attach a picture of that comic panel? The funeral parade scene included a horse-drawn carriage with wooden wheels, flag-drapped casket, and a few pallbearer Joes in standard army uniform; inclusive of Snake Eyes still in full face mask yet wearing a berret. Such a berret-wearing Snake Eyes in standard army uniform and a Horse drawn carriage would make for a very moving scene or diorama, in Joe-scale. Here's a classic Model T Hearse and casket in that scale. Can any of you Tankers out there help me find any horse carriage toys close to 1:18 Joe-scale? Has a customizer ever taken the above mentioned funeral parade scene in the comic and made a diorama? C'mon, help a Tanker out!

Man this is morbid. Yet Resolute is about to be so, as well. If you Google "Hearse 1:18" you'll actually find more of these in Joe scale. Yet still no horse-drawn carriage...

Schleich has a Western style horse and covered wagon. I imagine the "covered" part could be removed but I don't know what's underneath. It's fifty bucks, though.
FYI, a good way to search for stuff like that is to enter keywords in ebay if you didn't already know. Also, the body of General Hawk that came in the TRU 3-pack would be a good one to do headswaps for, for the Joes accompanying the casket, and I can't imagine that Hawk is very valuable since everyone got that set for Grunt. I think it's a great idea, by the way. Not any more morbid than this display. I've got the SAW Viper mowing down the Joes and Dusty carrying Sneak Peek's body in this display: Last edited by Barefoot Jedi; 03-28-2009 at 03:56 AM.. |
